Human Resources

The Human Resources committee is focused on the people and staff of WPC to ensure that our church reaches the objectives we have set as a missionary church to serve our members, community, country and the world, as disciples of Jesus spreading the Word of God in new and innovative ways. We are trusted partners to our pastor and congregation providing advice, support and strategic planning for the people resources of WPC.
To this end, the Human Resources Committee works with and assists our pastor, in the following functions:
  • Day-to-day staff supervision 
  • Writing and updating job descriptions>
  • Conducting salary and benefits reviews
  • Assisting in employee relations
  • Conducting a year-end performance management review process
  • Recruiting, interviewing and hiring staff when appropriate
  • Ensuring Equal Employment Opportunity practices for Westminster Presbyterian Church staff
  • Interpreting policy and answering staff questions or concerns
  • Preparing government required reports and distributing personnel-related memorandum 
  • Providing basic counsel to staff members about performance-related issues
